The world of internet marketing has rapidly change over the years. In IM (internet marketing) terms it's equivalent to at least ten generations.

We are now in an age of web 2.0 (soon to be web 3.0) and social media dominate the scene of information, products, and building relationships.

So it's time to make a shift change because these days a squeeze page is becoming a tactic of the past.

Your blog has more power than you know aside from writing posts.

Have fun with your blog, interact with your audience, create a place where everyone can communicate, and learn, thus making you an authority figure on the internet.

Cleaning Up Your Twitter List

When you are running a business whether it is a brick and mortar style or internet based, Twitter has become a powerful marketing tool that appears to have consistent value with people.

However there is one aspect that all of us have to consider when we are trying to make it big and gather a huge following and that is dealing with spam which is now evident more than ever.

You and everyone's mother is now on Twitter which is great since it is the new Facebook in social media rising but there are also spam artists who are also on the rise.

So one way to handle with spammers on your followers list or who are giving you a bad name is to clean up your followers list. The reason is that almost everyone has an auto-follow API in which someone follows you and you follow them. However, how many of those people are legitimate followers? How many are people who are just trying to get a big number to spam their business or whatever product that is completely unrelated to you? How many (dare I say it) webcam models are trying to get your attention?

I am not here to demoralize such Twitterers but a line has to be drawn when you are a business owner. If you run a network marketing legal plan business, lingerie and webcams are not the kind of people you want to be dealing with.

Clean up your lists! It's important you do this from time to time, maybe bimonthly or monthly depending on your flow of followers but the goal is to keep those who you want to network with and rid of those who are just looking to spam.

It is important because your reputation on Twitter is followed byyour followers and how they interact with you!

So make sure you rid of those who are not helpful or useful to your business and it is obvious they are looking to spam.

Market Research Is Your Starting Point

Last night's training for MLM Traffic Formula 2 was great and gave me some great ideas of what direction I wanted to take my business.

When you are about to get ready to start your online business, one of the most critical and important steps is to perform market research.

Yes you do need to do research on the market of your choice and other factors come into play.

For example you want to be sure that this market is something you can be passionate about or at least interested. You also want to be sure that it is profitable and has room for growth.

This can be daunting but once you get started, it will be well worth it.

To be successful online you need to do three things.

1. Build a list.
2. Build a relationship with your list.
3. Market to your list.

Your market research is vital in your You Inc. business model. You need to become an expert in solving people's problems.

So when performing market research, search for what people are searching for. Check out your competition, check out what they offer if they may be a future business partner.

Check to see if a certain market is saturated and so forth.

You need to research this before you start anything otherwise you will be wasting your efforts.

So pick out some ideas related to your business, whatever it may be, and do research now.

Create a little book, and take some days to do this. Take your time and do it right and it will certainly pay off for you in the future.

You've heard it before, value value value!

You need go give yourself more value that will appeal to your prospects and customers for your business!

So how can this be achieved? Well you can take several different routes. Remember, the goal in your business is to establish RELATIONSHIPS and I cannot stress that anymore.

Why? Because your customers and prospects to get excited when you send them your n ext e-mail.

You want them to be like, "Hmm what does Teddy have to say today, or what good product is out right now that I know must be legit because of his stamp is on it?"

You've gone through the same thinking process with certain products, whether it is from a certain company, a restaurant, a guy named Vinnie from 5th Ave in Brooklyn, or a guru who has quality that has been unmatched?

For example, I myself will almost buy anything from guys like Eben Pagan, Mark Joyner, Mike Dillard, etc.

Why? Because these guys have established a great relationship with me as a customer for them by not only with their products but what value they give to me all the time. When I hear a new interview, I know it must be juicy and that listening will get me that gold nugget I need.

You as a business owner, need to create the same kind of effect.

Separate yourself from others who are just sell sell sell!

Even separate yourself from others who give give give! You know the kind...you get an e-mail about 5000 e-books with resale rights from 2006. And that's like 30 years in internet marketing years.

Don't just give crap away, give value away. If you have products that you think will appeal to people because they are free....you're WRONG.

Everyone has a free report, everyone has a free video, everyone has a free e-book gift.

The question is how good is this report, is it up with modern times? Does it actually have good information that I can use now which will lead me to see more what you have and create a bond with you?

You need to be straight forward and give people a reason why they should spend the next 5 minutes listening to you instead of the other guy who has a site and flashy crazy stuff and the same audio rip from a Lord of the Rings movie.

Be professional, be fun, be informative, and keep em coming back for more.

Twitter Machines Are Not Your Friend!

Twitter machines are not your friend!

That's right I said it!

Don't mean to rain on the parades of people who love auto machines that make people follow you, which don't get me wrong can be great if you want to have a strong following and you're a blogger of information and gossip.

BUT!!!!!!

If you have a business, and you are using Twitter as well as other forms of social media outlets to work your business, then yes those machines and viral following gigs are actually bad for your business.

Why?

Twitter Machines = E-mail List Buying = SPAM

Yes! Spam!

Let's face the reality that Twitter has exploded AND EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHER IS ON IT!

Meaning that you have a variety of people on there who may not be business or personal friendly.

There are times when you can get away with affiliate marketing and so forth.

But if you are looking to establish yourself and really build a relationship, you need to organically grow your list with your value!

"If you tweet it, they will come...as long as it fits their interests!"

A person marketing their adult store is not exactly the kind of person you want in your following list. Especially in network marketing...Unless of course you're in an adult network marketing business.

So yes, my words of advice are to do the time, do the effort, and organically grow your follower list.

You are in a business. Which makes you a business owner or runner. And you need customers or a strong following. And to develop that following you need to create relationships!

Make sure you create enough value for people who would want to see what you have to bring to the table!

Lazy marketing never got anyone far...and if they say it did...it's just common copywriting sales letter tactics.

I will say that these tips will mostly be coming from my current training with MLM Traffic Formula 2.0 with Mike Dillard and other sources and that I CANNOT GIVE EVERYTHING AWAY but I will do my very best to give you as much as help as possible without giving away too much!

Trust me this blog should be a part of your favorites as it will be updated as I go through the training so you will also be getting a piece of that action as well and be able to grow with me!
